Western Truck Body is an approved Ford Motor Company pool stock dealer and certified installer. We’ll help you work with your local dealer to pick up a truck (https://www.westerntruckbody.com/truck-body-shop-edmonton) or van from our stock, or on-order inventory (https://www.westerntruckbody.com/truck-bodies-red-deer) and pair it with a service body (https://www.westerntruckbody.com/auto-body-edmonton), deck, crane (https://www.westerntruckbody.com/picker-trucks-edmonton), air compressor, power tailgate, waste oil pump or hose reel.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assemble doors, parts, and components as outlined in daily specifications
- The ability to Weld/assemble different steel or aluminum parts
- Measure inserts and cut to specification for insertion
- Performs visual quality inspections on all completed work. Checks manufactured items for deficiencies.
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools, i.e., drills, nail guns, grinders, polishers, saws, etc.
- Installation of doors onto service truck bodies
- Produce quality products while maintaining the required production and safety standards
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have basic welding skills
- Previous experience as a door manufacturer is an asset
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
COMPETENCIES & SKILLS
- Adaptable and willing to learn
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals
- Ability to use power tools
- Ability to lift heavy and stand for long periods of time
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Multi-temperature environment.
