We are currently seeking and have an immediate opening for a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of Valve Technician based out of Paradise, NL.
SUMMARY
The Valve Technician is responsible for performing all daily service activities, ensuring to follow established work standards and testing for customers, as well as statutory and regulatory requirements. Responsible for ensuring that nonconforming products or services are controlled against use, and that all documentation and records are appropriately completed and maintained in a suitable and timely manner. It is essential to have a range of technical and mechanical skills that enable you to perform the duties of the job.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Disassemble, clean, and reassemble valves using proper tools and techniques
- Conduct pressure testing and leak checks to ensure valve integrity and performance
- Perform scheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on valves in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards
- Diagnose valve malfunctions and recommend appropriate solutions to restore functionality
- Perform on-site valve inspections, maintenance, testing, and repairs at customer locations.
- Attend manufacturer training to maintain product knowledge and technical service competencies.
- Participate in offshore and onshore assignments as required
- Adhere to company policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience in valve maintenance, repair, testing, and troubleshooting
- Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical systems and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and specifications
- Knowledge of mechanical principles and theories
- Previous electrical/instrumentation experience considered an asset
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
- Able to work in a fast-paced team environment
- Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new procedures and technologies
- Valid Driver’s License and Passport with the ability to travel as required
