Our two surface mines Willow Creek, and Quintette, position us as key players in serving customers across South America, Europe, and Asia.
Haul Truck Trainee:
- Operate rigid-frame haul trucks to transport overburden, waste rock, and coal from the mine, and perform other tasks as required.
- Operate heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner, perform pre-trip checks and complete FLHA's on a regular basis.
- Ensure adherence to Conuma's workplace policies and standard operating procedures.
- Identify and report risks, near misses and incidents with the goal of supporting and developing Conuma’s excellent safety standards.
- Other duties and tasks as assigned.
Steam Bay Attendant:
- Wash mobile equipment in the steam bay to prepare for maintenance and repairs.
- Operate steam truck to wash mobile equipment to prepare for work performed in the field.
- Assist with shop and facility clean up and maintenance.
- Maintain and caring for steam bay tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Complete duties in a safe and efficient manner, and complete FLHA's on a regular basis.
- Ensure adherence to Conuma's workplace policies and standard operating procedures.
- Identify and report risks, near misses and incidents with the goal of supporting and developing Conuma’s excellent safety standards.
- Other duties and tasks as assigned.
Labourer:
- Perform process plant clean up and maintain the cleanliness of the plant and equipment to a high standard.
- Scrape and shovel material from under and around conveyor belts.
- Ensure adherence to Conuma's workplace policies and standard operating procedures.
- Identify and report risks, near misses and incidents with the goal of supporting and developing Conuma’s excellent safety standards.
- Other duties and tasks as assigned.
- Some high school, college or industry courses in heavy equipment operating combined with on-the-job training, or equivalent experience.
- Valid Driver's License
- Must be able to work 12-hour day and night shifts; on a 7x7 rotation.
- Must be able to communicate in English.
- Physically fit with the ability to perform physical labour often at heights.
- Proven safety and attendance record.
- Willingness to learn.
- Ability and willingness to work in all weather conditions.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with peers, trainees, and leadership.
- Previous heavy equipment operations, labourer or industrial experience is considered an asset.
- First Aid/Mine Rescue Training is considered an asset.
