Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Carpenter Helper to assist skilled carpenters in various new residential construction projects. This role involves supporting carpentry tasks, handling tools, and ensuring project efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in construction, woodworking, and building trades, with a willingness to learn and grow within the industry.
Duties
- Assist with reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and construction plans
- Aids in installation of , flooring systems, wall systems and roof construction
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and CNC equipment safely and effectively
- Perform general wood framing tasks
- Support heavy lifting and material movement around job sites
- Help with assembly of components and handyman repairs as required
- Follow safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of construction principles and woodworking techniques
- Experience or familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, or construction estimating is a plus
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical labor for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn new skills in carpentry and related trades
- Prior experience production framing, New construction residential projects
- Most have own vehicle
- Excellent teamwork skills and a positive attitude towards safety and quality standards
