As part of our new prepared foods vision, we’re creating a high-quality, wholesome, and delicious selection of hot meals, bowls, salads, and grab-and-go options for our customers.
The Role: Kitchen Cook – Prepared Foods Department (Station #1) Our kitchen production cooks are responsible for preparing the foundational elements of our hot and cold food programs. From scratch-made soups and stews to dressings, roasted vegetables, and hand pie fillings—our cooks help define the flavor and quality of the Swan Lake grab-and-go experience.
Shift Options:
- PM Cook: Focused on cold production—bowl program, tub salads, dressings, and other cooked items for Grab & Go. Some degree of shift flexibility but generally 12pm-6:30pm or 12pm-8pm during busy season
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare batch-cooked items according to daily production schedule and standardized recipes
- Cook proteins, grains, beans, vegetables, soups, and sauces from scratch
- Prepare hot breakfast and lunch items for merchandiser service (AM shift only)
- Assemble bowl program and tub salads using high-quality ingredients (PM shift only)
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and follow FOODSAFE protocols at all times
- Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure production timing and consistency
- Support prep team and assist in training junior staff as needed
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 1 year experience in a commercial kitchen or culinary production role
- Strong understanding of food safety and safe food handling practices
- Ability to follow recipes with consistency while adapting to daily kitchen flow
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- FOODSAFE Level 1 certification
- WHMIS certification (or willingness to obtain)

Pay: $18.50-$22.50 per hour
