Occupational Therapist – MVA In-Home Assessments and Treatment
HAL Disability Management Inc. is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to complete in-home assessments and provide ongoing treatment to individuals injured in motor vehicle accidents.
We believe an assessment should lead to meaningful care. Our focus is not only identifying a client’s functional needs, but also delivering the treatment, rehabilitation strategies, equipment recommendations, and support required to improve independence and quality of life.
The successful candidate must have significant experience working with MVA clients and a strong understanding of functional assessments, attendant care needs, activities of daily living, home safety, cognitive and physical rehabilitation, treatment planning, and clinical report writing.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete comprehensive in-home occupational therapy assessments
- Develop individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans
- Provide ongoing in-home occupational therapy treatment
- Assess functional abilities, attendant care needs, home safety, and equipment requirements
- Prepare clear, timely, and professional clinical reports
- Collaborate with clients, families, healthcare providers, insurers, and legal representatives
- Monitor client progress and modify treatment plans when required
Qualifications
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
- Significant experience working with motor vehicle accident clients
- Strong assessment, treatment, documentation, and communication skills
- Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- Ability to work independently within the community
Job Type: Contract
Pay: Up to $79.79 per hour
