Position Overview: The Service Advisor serves as the primary liaison between our customers and the service department, playing a vital role in delivering an exceptional ownership experience. This role is responsible for scheduling service appointments, accurately diagnosing customer vehicle concerns, and recommending necessary maintenance and repair solutions. As Kia continues to lead in automotive innovation, the Service Advisor ensures our guests receive expert guidance on everything from traditional powertrains to the latest electric vehicle (EV) technologies.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Greet customers warmly, actively listen to their vehicle concerns, and translate those needs into precise, detailed repair orders for our automotive service technicians.
- Provide accurate cost estimates and clear timeframes for vehicle repairs and standard maintenance, maintaining transparent communication throughout the day.
- Educate customers on manufacturer-recommended maintenance schedules, product updates, and Kia recall campaigns to ensure vehicle safety and longevity.
- Master and utilize dealership management systems and service scheduling tools to optimize shop workflow and maximize daily efficiency.
- Deliver an exceptional guest experience that aligns with Gauthier Automotive Group's community-first values, maintaining high customer satisfaction scores.
- Advise customers on specialized maintenance requirements for Kia's expanding line of advanced hybrid and electric vehicles (EVs).
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar customer-facing role within an automotive service department.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to explain complex technical concepts to customers clearly.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment.
- High proficiency with automotive dealer management software such as Reynolds and Reynolds, or PBS systems, service scheduling platforms, and standard productivity tools.
- Valid provincial driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Knowledge of or strong interest in advanced vehicle technology, hybrid systems, and electric vehicles.
