ORYX Signs & Print is a growing sign and print company specializing in custom signage, vehicle graphics, banners, decals, and printing solutions. We are looking for a reliable and motivated Sign Shop Helper to join our production team.
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Sign Shop Fabricator / Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in sign manufacturing and fabrication, along with working knowledge of graphic design software. This role requires a combination of technical production skills, attention to detail, and the ability to transform customer concepts into high-quality finished signage.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble a variety of signs, including channel letters, illuminated signs, vinyl graphics, banners, and custom signage.
- Operate sign-making equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
- Read and interpret design layouts, drawings, and production specifications.
- Prepare artwork and production files using design software.
- Apply vinyl graphics, perform laminating, cutting, routing, and finishing work.
- Assist with sign installation preparation and quality control.
- Maintain shop equipment and keep the workspace clean and organized.
- Collaborate with customers, designers, and production staff to ensure project requirements are met.
- Ensure all products meet company quality standards and deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in sign fabrication, manufacturing, or a related field.
- Experience working with sign production materials, tools, and equipment.
- Knowledge of graphic design software such as CorelDRAW, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, or similar programs.
- Ability to read technical drawings and production specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically capable of lifting materials and standing for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CNC routers, plotters, laminators, or large-format printers.
- Knowledge of electrical components used in illuminated signs.
- Experience in vehicle wraps and vinyl installation.
- Valid driver's license.
