In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and finishing custom cabinets and woodworking projects with precision and care. Your expertise will help transform spaces, ensuring quality, durability, and aesthetic appeal. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from residential renovations to commercial installations, all while honing your skills in woodworking, construction, and installation techniques.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately construct and install cabinetry and related woodwork.
- Cut, shape, assemble, and finish cabinet components using hand tools and power tools with meticulous attention to detail.
- Install cabinets securely in various settings, ensuring proper alignment, leveling, and finishing touches for a polished look.
- Perform related tasks such as flooring installation, tile laying, siding work, roofing support, and caulking to complement cabinetry projects.
- Assist with construction painting, restoration projects, masonry work including rebar installation and concrete forming as needed on job sites.
- Use CNC machinery for precision manufacturing of cabinet parts when applicable.
- Handle heavy lifting safely during material transport and installation processes while adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members on construction estimating, project planning, and schematic interpretation to ensure timely project completion.
Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings essential for accurate fabrication and installation.
- Strong experience with woodworking techniques including cabinetry construction, assembly, sanding, finishing, and restoration work.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools (saws, chisels, drills) and power tools (routers, sanders) for precise craftsmanship.
- Knowledge of construction painting techniques and finishing processes to enhance project aesthetics.
- Familiarity with CNC machinery for manufacturing custom cabinet components is a plus.
- Experience in masonry tasks such as concrete forming and rebar installation enhances versatility on site.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining focus on safety standards; physical stamina is required.
- Basic plumbing or electrical experience is advantageous for integrated project work involving utilities or fixtures.
- Construction experience across various trades including roofing, siding installation, flooring installation, tile laying, drywall finishing, and handyman tasks.
- Strong understanding of construction estimating processes to assist in project planning and resource allocation.
