Job Summary
We are seeking 1 compassionate and dedicated Health Care Aides to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities, in their home setting.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, particularly in assisted living environments, and will be committed to enhancing the quality of life for our clients.
This role requires a blend of caregiving skills, empathy, and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including dementia.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Support meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' well-being.
- Help clients with mobility and transfer assistance.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Monitor client health by observing changes in condition and reporting them to management.
- Assist with medication reminders as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Engage clients in activities that promote mental stimulation and physical activity.
- Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or those receiving end of life care.
Skills
- Experience in home support, assisted living or caregiving environments is preferred.
- Strong understanding of patient care practices, including dementia and hospice care.
- Ability to perform tasks safely and effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Familiarity with working with persons with dementia is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
