Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Pipefitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing piping systems across various industrial and commercial settings. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, blueprint reading, and welding techniques. The Pipefitter will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other trades to ensure the safe and efficient operation of piping infrastructure. Candidates should possess relevant experience in manufacturing, construction, or maintenance environments in the oil and gas industry and demonstrate proficiency with hand tools, schematics, and basic math skills.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine piping layouts and specifications.
- Use hand tools and rigging equipment to measure, cut, thread, and fit pipes accurately.
- Perform maintenance tasks on existing piping systems to ensure optimal performance and safety standards.
- Troubleshoot issues within piping infrastructure and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist in the setup of scaffolding or rigging as needed for pipe installation or repair work.
- Maintain a clean work environment and ensure all safety procedures are followed during operations.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Pipefitter or in a similar role within manufacturing, construction, or maintenance in the Oil and Gas industry
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Familiarity with hand tools, rigging equipment, and basic math skills required for precise measurements.
- Prior experience with manufacturing or construction projects involving pipe installation or maintenance is advantageous.
