Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Service Lube Technician to join our construction service team. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for equipment maintenance. This position provides an opportunity to develop skills in heavy equipment fleet repair and maintenance within a professional construction environment. The position requires a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to perform routine equipment services efficiently and safely. Must have a valid Class 5 drivers license with air endorsement.
Duties
- Perform oil changes, tire rotations, fluid top-offs, and basic equipment/fleet inspections
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment to service equipment accurately
- Assist with fleet/equipment inspections to identify potential mechanical issues
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the service vehicle and tools
- Support the service department by recommending additional maintenance or repair services when appropriate
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and employer policies
- Assist in inventory management of parts and supplies needed for routine services
Skills
- Construction equipment experience or mechanic experience preferred
- Mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment/fleet systems and components
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment
- Strong service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with fellow crew members
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during equipment/fleet servicing
- Knowledge of equipment/fleet repair procedures and safety protocols
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic sales skills to recommend additional services when appropriate
- Air Brake (Q) Endorsement required
