GTA Swim Academy is looking for fun, energetic and enthusiastic Swim Instructors to join our team for the Fall 2026 session!
We’re located at Sir Wilfrid Laurier C.I., 145 Guildwood Pkwy in Scarborough, and we’re currently hiring for:
- Mondays: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Wednesdays: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
You can work one shift or multiple days. Please include your availability when applying.
If you love being in the water, enjoy teaching, and aren’t afraid to jump in, demonstrate skills and get your hair wet, we’d love to meet you!
At GTA Swim Academy, our teaching philosophy is built around continuous movement and engagement. We keep our classes small and our swimmers active, with less time sitting on the pool deck waiting for a turn and more time swimming, practising and learning.
We also know how important consistency is to children and families, so we’re looking for instructors who are reliable, enthusiastic and committed to showing up for their swimmers each week.
What You’ll Do
- Teach children, youth and adults using the Lifesaving Society curriculum
- Be hands-on in the pool, demonstrating skills and keeping swimmers active
- Create fun, engaging lessons with lots of opportunities to practise
- Adapt your teaching to each swimmer’s needs
- Provide individual feedback and support skill development
- Work collaboratively with a friendly and supportive team

What You Need
- Current Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor certification
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR-C

Experience:
- Swim Instructional: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Standard First Aid/CPR C (required)
- LSS Swim Instructor Certificate (required)
