Medical Office Clerk

Founded in Ottawa in 1971, Bio-Test has been providing best-in-class specimen collection and diagnostic services to Eastern Ontarians and is fully licensed by the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care to perform tests in hematology, chemistry, microbiology, special chemistry, serology, and cytology. Bio-Test is ISO 15189 Plus™ accredited through the Institute for Quality Management in Health Care (IQMH and offers customized occupational health programs, including workforce specimen collection, radiology, and ultrasound services, as well as ECGs.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Answering and directing incoming phone calls.
- Booking and organizing house calls.
- Booking ultrasound appointments.
- Sorting and scanning laboratory requisitions.
- Back up for billing/ office clerk.
- Filing and photocopying as required.
- Act as back-up for patient receptionist as required.
- Act as back-up in various laboratory departments if experienced.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
- Excellent typing skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in using computer systems and software, including MS Office Suite.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with basic clerical tasks such as filing and record keeping.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
