Join Our Team!
We are looking for a Commercial Construction Foreman to join our Calgary team. This position is responsible for coordinating daily site activities, supervising employees and subcontractors, maintaining safety and quality standards, and ensuring project schedules are achieved.
What You'll Do
- Lead daily site operations, toolbox talks, safety meetings, and field-level hazard assessments.
- Supervise carpenters, apprentices, and labourers, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.
- Coordinate workforce assignments, material deliveries, equipment use, and site logistics.
- Monitor productivity and project progress while maintaining daily reports, timesheets, safety documentation, and site records.
- Ensure compliance with OH&S regulations, company safety policies, and quality control requirements.
- Review drawings, communicate scope changes, and assist with project documentation, including as-built drawings.
- Order materials, manage inventory, and maintain organized, professional job sites.
Working Conditions
- Valid drivers license required.
- Must be willing and able to work on out-of-town projects.
- Local to Cardston, Lethbridge or Fort Macleod are preferred
- Weekend work as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You Bring
- Journeyman Carpenter, Red Seal certification, trade school diploma, or equivalent construction experience.
- Previous experience as a Foreman, Supervisor, or Superintendent in commercial construction.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Working knowledge of OH&S regulations and commercial construction quality practices.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- WHMIS 2015 and CSTS 2020 required; First Aid, Fall Protection, Leadership for Safety Excellence, and other safety certifications are assets.
