Eastgate Academy is seeking a passionate, reflective, and student-centered educator to join our growing learning community as a Primary Years Programme (PYP) Teacher. Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences aligned with the IB Primary Years Programme framework
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students
- Use assessment practices to guide instruction and support student growth
- Collaborate with colleagues to design interdisciplinary learning opportunities
- Communicate effectively and professionally with families and members of the school community
- Support students’ social-emotional development and overall well-being
- Contribute positively to school culture and community initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Education or equivalent teaching qualification
- Valid NB teaching certification
- Experience with or knowledge of the IB Primary Years Programme is considered an asset, but not a necessity
- Strong understanding of inquiry-based and student-centered pedagogy
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Commitment to ongoing professional learning and reflective practice
