Day Shift, Monday to Friday

Full-time hours, with weekends or overtime as required

Act as a Safety Spotter, providing active oversight for skilled trades personnel to prevent accidents and identify potential environmental hazards
-
Assist maintenance trades personnel with mechanical, electrical, and equipment repairs by providing hands-on support as required
-
Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with site safety policies and procedures
-
Perform general building maintenance and repairs throughout the facility
-
Repair drywall, perform paint touch-ups, replace ceiling tiles, and repair damaged flooring surfaces
-
Repair and replace window seals as required
-
Maintain and repair door hardware including handles, hinges, closers, and locking systems
-
Install and repair baseboards, crown moulding, door casings, and other finish carpentry items
-
Adjust drawer slides, repair cabinet hinges, and perform minor cabinetry repairs
-
Inspect, maintain, and repair wooden ramps, railings, outdoor walkways, and other exterior structures
-
Complete minor concrete repairs and patching work as required
-
Clear plumbing clogs and perform minor plumbing repairs
-
Install restroom fixtures including soap dispensers, paper towel dispensers, and related accessories
-
Assemble office furniture including desks, chairs, shelving units, and workstations
-
Securely mount televisions, whiteboards, artwork, signage, and other facility fixtures
-
Adjust ergonomic workstations and sit-stand desks to support employee requirements
-
Reconfigure cubicle partitions and office layouts as operational needs change
-
Relocate machinery, equipment, furniture, and facility assets safely throughout the site
-
Perform repairs and maintenance on dollies and material handling equipment, excluding welding repairs
-
Track and monitor facility maintenance supplies and consumables
-
Troubleshoot facility issues and identify practical repair solutions
-
Wear proper PPE, including steel-toed footwear, safety glasses, bump caps, masks, and other required protective equipment
-
Lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift to move materials and equipment
-
Perform physically demanding tasks including bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, climbing stairs, reaching, and prolonged standing or walking
-
Follow all customer, company, and regulatory safety policies and procedures
-
Perform other duties as assigned by management to support facility operations
-
Minimum 3 years of experience in building maintenance, facilities maintenance, handyperson services, property maintenance, or a related field
-
Previous experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, automotive, commercial, or institutional environment is strongly preferred
-
Demonstrated experience performing general carpentry, drywall repair, painting, hardware installation, and minor plumbing repairs
-
Experience assembling furniture, installing fixtures, and performing facility renovations or repairs
-
Ability to safely use a wide variety of hand tools, power tools, ladders, and maintenance equipment
-
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
-
Experience supporting skilled trades personnel in maintenance or repair activities is considered an asset
-
Valid Ontario Class G Driver's Licence

Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety

Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks effectively

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Motivated and self-driven with a willingness to learn

Availability to work overtime and weekends as business needs require

Must be able to reliably commute to 1055 Fountain Street North, Cambridge, Ontario

Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.

Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying environmental conditions

Comfortable performing repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift

Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb stairs, and reach for extended periods
