We are currently looking to fill the role for a Full Time Medical Office Assistant for our Walden location in southeast Calgary.

Your Opportunity:
As a Medical Office Assistant, you will be an integral member of a dedicated team responsible for fostering and maintaining positive, professional relationships with patients and medical clinics throughout Calgary and surrounding area. This position reports to the Site Lead. The shifts required for this position may vary, with possible hours being 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, 11:00 am to 7:30 pm, and 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Your Mark:
- Answering high call volume phone lines
- Booking patients at one of Pinnacle’s various locations using an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system (Med Access)
- Creating and maintaining up-to-date patient charts
- Managing and faxing patient reports and interpretations
- Communicating patient/clinic needs and requests to the Pinnacle Team in a timely and effective manner
- Maintaining patient confidentiality and other administrative duties as assigned
Your Skills:
- Medical Office Assistant diploma
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Experience with EMR system(s) *MedAccess is preferred
- Excellent customer service with a proactive approach to problem solving
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Taking initiative and finding ways to make the patient experience even better!
