Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Janitor/Cleaner to maintain cleanliness and safety across our facilities. This role is essential in ensuring a clean, sanitary, and welcoming environment for employees and visitors alike. The ideal candidate will have experience in cleaning and facilities maintenance, with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of hygiene. Responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal in various areas such as offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces
- Conduct deep cleaning procedures periodically as scheduled or needed
- Maintain cleanliness of floors, windows, furniture, and fixtures using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and toilet paper in restrooms and kitchens
- Ensure all cleaning activities comply with safety standards and health regulations
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management for prompt resolution
- Follow established cleaning protocols to ensure consistency and quality of work
Skills
- Proven experience in general cleaning or commercial cleaning preferred
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices and basic maintenance skills is a plus
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and floor scrubbers effectively
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform thorough cleaning tasks efficiently
- Good organizational skills to manage daily cleaning schedules and supplies
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
