SWS Boatworks is a family-run marina located in Port Carling, right in the heart of Muskoka. We’re growing fast and looking for a motivated, skilled Marine Technician to join our team. What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll work on a wide variety of boats, engines, and marine systems — from routine maintenance to diagnostics and repairs.
Responsibilities include:
- Seasonal servicing (summerization, winterization, tune-ups)
- Rigging/ PDI new boats, PWC and Side by Sides
- Diagnosing and repairing marine engines and drive systems
- Working on Mercury, Volvo Penta, Yamaha, and Kawasaki
- Troubleshooting electrical, fuel, steering, and propulsion systems
- Installing and servicing marine components (batteries, pumps, lighting, electronics, etc.)
- Inspecting boats and documenting service work
- Maintaining a clean, safe, organized workspace
- Working as part of a team to keep jobs on schedule
- Must be living and working already in Canada
What We’re Looking For
✅ Marine tech experience preferred (automotive/small engine backgrounds considered)
✅ Strong diagnostic and mechanical ability
✅ Comfort working with marine electrical systems
✅ Reliable, hardworking, and takes pride in quality work
✅ Able to work independently and as part of a team
✅ Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work in a hands-on environment
✅ Valid driver’s and boat license required
✅ Boat handling/launching experience is an asset
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Seasonal
Pay: $23.00-$45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 44.0 per week

- Port Carling, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- Mechanical knowledge: 3 years (preferred)
