Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced courier or delivery driver to provide on-call delivery support for our popcorn company based out of our Hillside Mall location in Victoria, BC.
This position is ideal for someone who is already operating as a courier or delivery professional and is looking to add additional delivery work to their schedule. The successful candidate must have their own reliable SUV, minivan, cargo van, or larger vehicle with enough space to safely transport popcorn orders. Smaller vehicles will not be suitable for this role.
The position will involve local deliveries throughout the Victoria area, as well as scheduled deliveries to Nanaimo and other areas on Vancouver Island. We are looking for a dependable courier who is comfortable completing longer delivery routes when required.
Responsibilities:
- Complete scheduled deliveries from our Hillside Mall location to customers and businesses
- Deliver within Victoria and surrounding areas, including Nanaimo and other Vancouver Island locations as needed
- Safely transport and handle popcorn orders
- Plan efficient delivery routes and complete deliveries on schedule
- Communicate professionally with customers and our team
- Maintain reliable availability for scheduled delivery requests
- Represent our brand with excellent customer service
Requirements:
- Must currently operate as a courier, delivery driver, or have previous professional delivery experience
- Must have your own reliable SUV, minivan, cargo van, or larger vehicle
- Smaller vehicles (compact cars/sedans) will not be suitable due to delivery volume requirements
- Must carry commercial liability insurance on your vehicle
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
- Strong knowledge of Victoria and Vancouver Island routes
- Comfortable completing longer-distance deliveries, including trips to Nanaimo
- Dependable, punctual, and organized
- Professional appearance and customer service skills
- Available on an on-call basis as delivery needs arise
