Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and certified Journeyman with minimum 5 years of experience in custom home construction. The successful candidate will work independently or as part of a team, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to code. A reliable vehicle is required for travel between job sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform skilled carpentry tasks, including formwork, framing, and finishing in residential settings.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Ensure all work meets safety regulations, building codes, and quality standards.
- Mentor apprentices and provide guidance on best practices.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and job site cleanliness.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and team members.
Qualifications:
- Valid Journeyman certificate in carpentry with Red Seal endorsement.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including formwork, framing, and finishing.
- Strong knowledge of safety protocols and industry standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Own vehicle for travel between job sites.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with specialized tools, machinery, or software relevant to carpentry.
- Previous experience in residential projects.
