- We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role is vital in supporting pharmacists with daily operations, ensuring accurate medication dispensing, and providing excellent patient care. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology, medication administration, and experience in hospital or pharmacy settings. Duties
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately according to prescriptions
- Manage inventory by stocking shelves, checking expiration dates, and ordering supplies as needed
- Provide exceptional patient care by answering questions and offering guidance under pharmacist supervision
- Maintain detailed records of medication dispensation and patient interactions in compliance with healthcare regulations
- Ensure the pharmacy environment remains clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
- Support medication administration processes and documentations as required
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient service and medication management
Experience
- Pharmacy assistant or Pharmacy technician certificate is required
- Prior hospital or Retail pharmacy experience is highly preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to pharmaceuticals and healthcare practices
- Experience in patient care settings demonstrating strong communication skills
- Familiarity with medication administration procedures and safety protocols
- Previous roles involving inventory management and administrative support within a healthcare environment
