Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food and beverage industry, possess excellent customer service skills, and be capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a positive experience for all customers. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks according to established recipes and customer preferences.
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for accurate order processing and cash handling.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and addressing inquiries promptly.
- Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling food items and maintaining food safety standards.
- Manage cashiering duties including processing payments accurately using POS systems and giving correct change.
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, equipment, and dining space to ensure health and safety compliance.
- Assist with inventory management by restocking supplies as needed.
- Follow food safety protocols including proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
- Demonstrate effective time management to serve customers efficiently during busy periods.
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience or background in the food industry is required.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and register operations.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely service during peak hours.
