Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating heavy-duty vehicles to deliver goods efficiently and on time. This role requires a strong focus on safety, punctuality, and excellent driving skills to ensure smooth logistics operations across various routes. Candidates must be capable of handling heavy lifting and navigating diverse driving conditions, contributing to the overall success of our delivery services.
Duties
- Safely operate trucks to transport goods between locations according to scheduled routes and delivery deadlines
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Load and unload cargo, often requiring heavy lifting, ensuring proper securing of items for transit
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and vehicle maintenance records
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules, delays, or issues encountered during routes
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of all road users
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and overall condition of the truck fleet
Experience
- Proven experience as a Truck Driver or similar role with a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL)
- Demonstrated ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading/unloading processes
- Strong driving record with a focus on safety and adherence to traffic laws
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route planning software is preferred
- Prior experience in long-haul or regional deliveries is advantageous but not mandatory
