We are currently seeking a skilled CNC Programmer / Setup Technician / Operator to join our team.
Position Summary
The CNC Programmer / Setup Technician / Operator is responsible for programming, setup, operation, and optimization of CNC milling and turning equipment to produce precision-machined components that meet customer specifications and quality standards.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical machining knowledge, excellent problem-solving abilities, and experience working in a precision manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Program, setup, and operate CNC milling machines and CNC lathes
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications
- Develop and optimize machining processes for efficiency and quality
- Select tooling, workholding, and cutting parameters
- Perform first-piece inspections and in-process quality checks
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and program-related issues
- Maintain dimensional accuracy and adherence to tight tolerances
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to achieve production goals
- Ensure compliance with company safety and quality standards
- Maintain organized work areas and equipment
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 2–5 years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proven experience with CNC milling and turning operations
- Strong understanding of G-code programming and/or CAM software
- Ability to independently complete machine setups and program adjustments
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and GD&T
- Experience using precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and indicators
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Fanuc, Haas, or similar CNC controls
- Experience with prototype, custom, or short-run production
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
