Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
- Assist with inventory management, including ordering supplies as needed.
- Perform basic math for portion control and recipe adjustments.
- Handle cashiering duties when necessary, including processing payments accurately.
- Engage with customers to provide excellent service and upsell menu items when appropriate.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment operation.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling practices.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy kitchen setting.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and customer interaction.
