About the Role
A2Z Language Hub is expanding its network of professional linguists and is seeking document translation specialists in Georgian, Bengali, and Sinhala. This role is strictly focused on official document translation for clients across Canada, including immigration, legal, academic, and government‑related submissions.
Core Requirements
- Language Proficiency — Full professional fluency in English and one of the following: Kinyarwanda, Kirundi, Sinhala, Bengali Languages
- Document Translation Skills — Ability to translate official documents accurately while preserving meaning, tone, and structure.
- Writing Quality — Strong command of grammar, syntax, and terminology in both languages.
- Accuracy & Consistency — Proven ability to deliver precise, error‑free translations suitable for institutional and government use.
- Formatting Competence — Ability to produce clean, professionally formatted deliverables (Word, PDF).
- Portfolio — Samples of previous translation work are highly encouraged.
- Attention to Detail — Strong proofreading and self‑review skills.
- Availability — Ability to take on assignments on short notice is an asset.
Assignment Details
- Scope of Work — Freelance, assignment‑based document translation projects.
- Document Types — General, legal, academic, civil status, and technical documents.
- Contract Type — Independent Contractor (remote or hybrid depending on project needs).
- Quality Expectations — All translations must meet Canadian institutional standards, including IRCC, provincial authorities, and academic institutions.
Job Type: Freelance
Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour
