General Objective:
- Learn and perform the full QA job-owner process for assigned low-complexity jobs, from contract review through final documentation package closeout, under the guidance of senior QA personnel. This position is responsible for executing defined procedures accurately, maintaining quality records, and escalating issues requiring technical judgment or exception handling.
Responsibilities and Key Tasks:
- Perform QA portions of contract review for assigned jobs as per procedures and instructions.
- Review MTRs for buy materials assigned to their jobs to verify compliance with customer and internal requirements.
- Review supplier documentation and receiving records for assigned jobs.
- Coordinate with procurement, COM, and operations personnel to resolve missing or incomplete documentation.
- Create and maintain MFG documentation packs for assigned jobs from release through final pack completion.
- Support stock inspection documentation activities where applicable.
- Support NCR processing for assigned jobs by collecting records, tracking required information, and assisting with completion of documentation.
- Prepare completed job files for final doc pack audit, peer review, and upload.
- Escalate unclear specifications, documentation conflicts, and non-routine acceptance decisions to Level 2, Level 3, or the QA Lead.
- Assist with internal and external document control activities, including filing, scanning, controlled record retention, and maintenance of job-related and departmental quality records.
- Support general QA administrative tasks, including QA requests, training record support, inbox follow-up, and other departmental administrative duties as assigned.
- Assist with internal audits by gathering records, preparing documentation, and supporting assigned follow-up actions.
- Comply with all HSE, QMS, and corporate policies at Norquest.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the QA Lead or QHSE Manager.
Core skills /Qualifications:
- High school Diploma.
- High level of data processing ability.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills at all levels.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
- High level of integrity and diligence regarding accuracy and consistency.
- Ability to question and escalate issues as required.
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
- Experience with quality records, MTR's, and customer documentation requirements would be considered an asset.
