Overview
We are seeking a skilled Repair Technician to join our team, providing expert repair and troubleshooting services for a variety of electronic devices and systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong analysis skills, proficiency with schematics and hand tools, and a passion for problem-solving in a fast-paced environment. This position is essential in maintaining high customer satisfaction through efficient repairs and technical support.
Duties
- Diagnose and repair hardware issues specific to gaming laptops, including high-performance CPUs, GPUs, RAM, motherboards, and power delivery systems
- Perform advanced troubleshooting for overheating, thermal throttling, and performance degradation common in gaming laptops
- Disassemble and reassemble gaming laptops safely, including models from brands such as ASUS ROG, MSI, Alienware, Razer, Acer Predator, and similar
- Replace and repair components such as:
- - GPUs and CPUs (including reballing or board-level diagnostics where applicable)
- - Cooling systems (fans, heat pipes, vapor chambers, liquid metal, thermal pads)
- - Displays (high refresh-rate panels, backlight and hinge repairs)
- - Keyboards, touchpads, speakers, and RGB lighting systems
- - Power jacks, batteries, chargers, and adapters
- Apply proper thermal solutions (thermal paste, liquid metal, thermal pads) to maximize gaming performance and system longevity
- Diagnose and repair motherboard-level issues where possible, including power, charging, and boot failures
- Test and optimize repaired systems for gaming performance, stability, and thermal efficiency
- Perform BIOS, firmware, and driver updates related to gaming hardware compatibility and performance
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows OS and gaming-related software
- Identify upgrade opportunities (RAM, SSD, cooling improvements) and advise customers or internal teams accordingly
- Maintain accurate repair documentation, diagnostic notes, and parts usage logs
- Follow ESD and safety standards when handling sensitive gaming components
- Keep up to date with the latest gaming laptop technologies, hardware trends, and repair techniques
- Communicate clearly with management or customers regarding repair status, timelines, and technical findings
Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
