Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. As a Registered Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive oral health services, educating patients on proper dental care, and supporting the overall efficiency of the dental practice. Duties
- Perform professional dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
- Conduct initial patient assessments by reviewing medical histories and recording dental observations.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, including brushing, flossing, and preventive care strategies.
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments using dental practice management software such as Dentrix.
- Provide support in orthodontic procedures and assist with pediatric dental care when necessary.
- Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed to uphold safety standards within the clinic.
- Foster a welcoming environment by delivering exceptional customer service and addressing patient concerns professionally.
Requirements
- Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations.
- Experience working in a busy dental office setting with proficiency in dental software such as Dentrix.
- Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures.
- Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dental care and patient health records.
- Previous experience in dental assisting or customer service roles is advantageous.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to educate and connect with patients of all ages.
