THE ROLE

As a Kitchen Staff / Hot Table Cook, you are the engine behind one of our most important offerings. You'll follow pre-set recipes, execute daily prep, cook to order and to schedule, and ensure the hot table is fully stocked, fresh, and ready on time — every time.
This is not a creative-by-committee role. You follow the recipes. You respect the standards. You own your station.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
- Prep — Knife work, portioning, marinating, mise en place for the day's menu
- Cooking — Execute hot table recipes precisely and consistently across every batch
- Timing — Coordinate production so items are hot, fresh, and ready when the table opens and throughout service
- Recipe Adherence — Follow pre-set recipes exactly; no freestyling without authorization
- Cleanliness & Food Safety — Maintain a clean station at all times; follow FIFO, temperature logs, and sanitation standards
- Receiving & Prep Rotation — Assist with receiving ingredients, proper labelling, rotation, and storage
- Team Coordination — Communicate with front-of-house and team leads to manage par levels and replenishment

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
- 1–3+ years of experience in a kitchen, prep, or line cook role (restaurant, catering, deli, or institutional kitchen — all considered)
- Ability to follow written recipes precisely and reproduce consistent results
- Strong knife skills and general cooking fundamentals
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment under time pressure
- Reliable, organized, and focused — you don't need to be chased
- Food Handler Certificate (required or must obtain within 30 days of hire)
- Able to work early mornings, weekends, and some holidays
- Able to stand for extended periods and handle a physically demanding kitchen environment
