Position Overview: Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, Industrial Mechanics play a critical role ensuring the facility is operational and downtime is minimized. This role is responsible for performing scheduled and repair maintenance of both equipment and facility infrastructure, HVAC systems and equipment fabrication. The ideal candidate will be strongly motivated and have a high attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting, repair, assembly and maintenance of Packaging and Processing Equipment as required
- Install equipment and assist with capital projects as required.
- Maintain housekeeping, Food Safety, and Good Manufacturing Standards
- Ability to work overtime and shift work
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma required
- Experience:
- Red Seal Certification or currently in the Block Program
- Experience in the food industry is an asset.
- Welding/Fabrication experience considered an asset.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Worked with inventory management software
