Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented CNC Programming Manager to lead our CNC Programming Department. The ideal candidate will oversee the development and optimization of CNC programs, ensuring efficient production processes and high-quality output. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, expertise in CAD/CAM software, and leadership skills to manage a team of programmers and technicians. The CNC Programming Manager will play a critical role in driving continuous improvement initiatives, implementing lean manufacturing principles, and maintaining compliance with safety standards. Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and optimization of CNC programs for various manufacturing equipment using CAD/CAM software (Mastercam, SolidWorks, Catia)
- Oversee the setup and operation of CNC machinery, ensuring adherence to specifications and quality standards.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to interpret mechanical drawings and schematics for accurate machining.
- Manage the integration of robotics, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and industrial equipment into manufacturing processes.
- Develop and implement process improvements utilizing lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
- Provide technical guidance on welding, assembly, and mechanical engineering aspects related to CNC machining.
- Train and supervise CNC programmers and machine operators on best practices, safety procedures, and new technologies.
- Maintain documentation for CNC programs, schematics, and technical specifications; ensure all programs are up-to-date.
- Troubleshoot complex issues related to CNC programming, robotics, or mechanical systems promptly to minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in CNC programming, manufacturing engineering, or a related field with a strong understanding of industrial equipment.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (Mastercam, SolidWorks, Catia)
- Hands-on experience with robotics integration, PLC programming, welding techniques, and mechanical assembly.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with a background in mechanical engineering or industrial engineering.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and schematics related to industrial equipment.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively while fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail; capable of troubleshooting complex technical issues efficiently.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating across departments and documenting technical processes.

Pay: $41,701.61-$136,946.40 per year
