Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying protective and decorative coatings to various industrial components and structures. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and familiarity with various tools and equipment used in manufacturing environments. The Industrial Painter plays a crucial part in ensuring the quality and durability of finished products, contributing to the overall efficiency of our production process.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as necessary
- Operate spray guns, brushes, rollers, and other hand tools to apply paint, coatings, or finishes
- Use power tools when required for surface preparation or repairs
- Utilize cranes and forklifts for moving heavy components safely within the workspace
- Conduct inspections to ensure coatings are applied evenly and meet quality standards
- Follow safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Assist with assembly or machining tasks as needed to support production workflows
- Maintain a clean work environment by properly storing tools and disposing of waste materials
Experience
- Previous experience in industrial painting or a related manufacturing role is preferred
- Mechanical knowledge related to machinery, and assembly processes is advantageous
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic math skills for measurement and calculations
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles to promote efficiency and quality in work processes
- Experience operating cranes, forklifts, or other heavy equipment is a plus
