Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installer and Painter to join our construction team. This role involves installing drywall, preparing surfaces, and applying paint to enhance the aesthetic and functional quality of residential homes. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction painting, carpentry, and related handyman skills, with a strong attention to detail and safety standards. Duties
- Measure, cut, and install drywall panels according to project specifications and blueprints
- Tape, mud, sand, and finish drywall joints for smooth surfaces
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and caulking prior to painting or finishing
- Apply primer and paint using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment to achieve desired finishes
- Read blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation and finishing
- Perform caulking around seams and fixtures for a seamless appearance
- Assist with carpentry tasks as needed, including framing or minor repairs
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly
- Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure a safe working environment for self and team members
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction painting, drywall installation, or related trades
- Strong carpentry skills with knowledge of blueprint reading
- Handyman experience is highly desirable
- Ability to perform caulking and surface preparation tasks efficiently
- Knowledge of safety procedures relevant to construction sites
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and perform manual tasks safely
- Prior construction experience preferred but not mandatory for motivated learners willing to develop skills
