Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team for a high rise building. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of all equipment and facilities, performing routine maintenance tasks, and addressing any repairs as needed. This role requires a strong mechanical background (minimum 5 years experience), attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The candidate has the option to live on-site for discounted rent.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
- Perform minor electrical and plumbing repairs and maintenance on various machinery and systems.
- Utilize schematics to troubleshoot issues effectively and implement solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using in-house system.
- Collaborate with other contractors to ensure minimal disruption during maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations while performing all tasks.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, is essential for effective communication.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in facilities maintenance preferred.
- Familiarity with electrical and plumbing systems and the ability to perform basic repairs.
- Minor patching and painting experience.
