The Behavioural Health Foundation is accepting resumes for the position of Groundskeeper (Canada Summer Jobs). This is an 8 week position, partially funded through the Canada Summer Jobs program. Start date before June 14, 2026. Hours of work 35 hours a week , Monday – Friday, 9:00am -4:00pm.
JOB SUMMARY
The Groundskeeper is responsible for upkeep of the BHF Grounds (cutting grass, maintaining flower gardens, watering, weeding). The Groundskeeper also does indoor projects during inclement weather.

§ Experience as a groundskeeper / manual labourer is an asset.

§ Able to use lawn care machinery and equipment, including mowers, trimmers, leaf blowers.

§ Able to work with residents and display patience and empathy.

§ Proven team player who is both flexible and adaptable.

SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIRES
§ Grass cutting, tree trimming, planting and maintaining gardens.
§ Responsible for interior and exterior painting.
§ Assist in keeping the outdoor area clean and attractive.
§ Assist with care of the traditional Indigenous grounds,
§ Assist with the marketing of Indigenous crafts or other fundraising activities.
Qualifications:
§ Must be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment.
§ Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, for the duration of the employment.
§ Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations
