Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Budtender to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional service to customers, assist with product selection, and ensure a welcoming environment. This role requires strong communication skills, proficiency with retail technology, and the ability to handle various customer interactions professionally. Bilingual abilities in English and French are highly valued, along with experience in retail sales, hospitality, or related fields. The Budtender will play a key role in educating customers about products, upselling where appropriate, and maintaining an organized sales floor.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide personalized assistance based on their needs and preferences
- Educate customers on product features, effects, and usage instructions
- Operate POS systems efficiently for cash handling and transactions
- Upsell products to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction
- Maintain merchandising standards and organize product displays effectively
- Manage inventory levels and assist with stock replenishment
- Handle customer inquiries both in person and via digital communication channels
- Ensure compliance with all legal regulations related to product sales and distribution
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales area
- Document transactions accurately using computer operation skills such as Microsoft Office and Excel
Requirements
- Proven experience in retail sales, customer service, or hospitality environments
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual proficiency in French is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, and basic math for cash handling
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary (up to 50 pounds)
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and time management
- Proficiency with computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), filing, and general computer operation
- Ability to upsell products effectively while maintaining excellent customer relations
- Strong organizational skills for merchandising and inventory management
- Leadership qualities or previous supervisory experience are advantageous but not required
