Overview
We are seeking a skilled AZ Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The role involves dairy product distribution, including milk and related products. Some deliveries require hand-bombing from straight trucks(for DZ), while others involve the use of power jacks on both straight trucks and trailers(for AZ and DZ).Due to the physical nature of the work, we are seeking drivers who are physically fit and capable of handling demanding tasks throughout the day. The position typically involves 8 to 10 hours of work per shift.This role involves safely operating commercial trucks to transport freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the highest safety standards. The ideal candidate will have experience with heavy equipment operation, automotive repair knowledge, and a strong commitment to safety and efficiency.
Duties
- Safely operate AZ licensed commercial trucks for freight transportation across local, regional, or national routes
- Load and unload freight using forklift or other heavy equipment as needed
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and basic automotive repairs to ensure optimal vehicle performance
- Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in compliance with transportation regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse personnel regarding delivery schedules and issues
- Adhere to all safety protocols and traffic laws to ensure safe operations at all times
Qualifications
- Valid AZ Commercial Driver’s License with a clean driving record
- Experience in freight transportation and commercial driving
- Proficiency in forklift operation and heavy equipment handling
- Basic automotive repair skills are a plus, enabling troubleshooting and minor repairs on the road
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation and safety checks
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively during long hauls or local routes
- Physical ability to load, unload, and secure freight, including lifting heavy items as required
Pay: $22.00-$36.52 per hour
