We are looking for a National Warehouse Manager to join our team and help drive the growth of Charge Solar and the industry as a whole. Location: Primarily in office in either our Calgary or Edmonton, Alberta locations.
Reports to: VP, Operations
Primary Outcome:
- Ensure that Charge Solar remains the leader in customer experience from order to shipment for solar installers across Canada. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of warehouse management and safety compliance in Canada.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide national leadership and oversight of warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, shipping, inventory control, and facility/equipment maintenance.
- Lead, develop, and support warehouse teams by ensuring appropriate training, certification, performance management, and resolution of employee concerns.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, regulatory, and company standards (e.g., WHMIS, TDG, fire codes); lead incident investigations and corrective actions.
- Oversee inventory accuracy through effective controls, cycle counts, physical inventories, and standardized processes.
- Drive operational excellence by standardizing processes, improving systems, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and scaling operations to support business growth.
- Establish, monitor, and improve warehouse KPIs and operational metrics to drive accuracy, efficiency, service levels, and continuous improvement.
- Maintain clear documentation for warehouse processes, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions, and related materials.
- Develop, implement, and oversee preventative maintenance programs for warehouse facilities and equipment, including vehicles, forklifts, HVAC systems, and other critical assets.
- Contributes to budget planning and actively manage warehouse-related costs.
- Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Purchasing, Sales, Order Management, Accounting, Marketing, and Leadership to ensure timely, cost-effective service.
- Lead by example, enforcing company policies and supporting organizational objectives.
- Other tasks as deemed necessary.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of warehouse management experience, preferably in a national wholesale distribution environment
- Demonstrated leadership ability with a strong track record of developing others through coaching, feedback, and providing ongoing learning opportunities.
- Ability to prioritize workload for self and team based on business need and adherence to Charge Solar’s priorities.
- Flexible and adaptable, able to adjust quickly to new information, changing conditions, and unexpected challenges.
- Thrives in fast‑paced environments and manages multiple priorities.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow through on assigned task.
- Effective communicator across all levels of the organization.
- Proficient with ERP systems and computer applications, including word processing and spreadsheets.
- Demonstrated experience in writing standards, procedures, and work process flows.
- Strong process-safety awareness and continuous-improvement mindset
- Able to meet tight deadlines and make sound decisions in a dynamic environment.
- Skilled in identifying, evaluating, and mitigating operational risks.
- Process-oriented with the ability to establish, monitor and drive KPIs.
- Legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Able to travel as required and work a flexible schedule.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in a national distribution company.
- Demonstrated understanding of 5S and Lean methodologies to improve efficiency and workplace organization.
- Experience setting up or optimizing a warehouse from scratch.

Pay: $70,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
