Under the direction of the Accounting Supervisor, the Accountant supports full-cycle accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and month-end close, in conjunction with financial reporting and audit preparation, contribute to ERP implementation to ensure accurate data, process alignment, and timely financial reporting. Fluency in Spanish is preferred, as the role involves regular communication with our Corporate Headquarters in Chile.

Some of the Job functions for this role will be:
▪ Processes supplier invoices, employee expenses, and supporting documentation, and ensures accurate coding in the ERP system to ensure compliance with policies and obligations to suppliers and employees, and maintain timely payments.
▪ Manages full-cycle accounts payable, including supplier setup, invoice entry, reconciliations, and payment runs to maintain control and accuracy of financial operations in line with established procedures.
▪ Assists with preparation of journal entries, supplier statements, reconciliations, and expense transactions to maintain accurate ledgers, up-to-date accounts, and support financial statement preparation.
▪ Records and reconciles accounting transactions (credit card expenses, accruals, adjustments, AR reconciliations, intercompany transactions) to provide reliable and timely financial information in compliance with IFRS for both internal and external stakeholders.
▪ Prepares financial analyses, supporting schedules, and management reports using Excel and other applications to support variance analysis, decision-making, and audit readiness.
▪ Prepares and issues customer invoicing and sales orders in the ERP system to ensure accurate revenue recognition and effective process control.
▪ Provides backup support for the Department through cross-training on key duties to ensure departmental coverage during absences, vacations, or peak workload periods.
▪ Reacts to change productively to undertake other tasks and responsibilities as assigned to look after the best interest of the company. The list of functional duties is not exhaustive.

And possess the following minimum requirements:
- Accounting Diploma or basic Accounting Courses (preferred Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field)
- Minimum 2 years’ practical experience in full-cycle accounts, reconciliations, reporting)
- Exposure to audits and tax compliance (asset)
- CPA student designation (asset, not mandatory at this level)
- Strong knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Understanding of ERP/financial systems (Helm, SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Detail- and number-oriented with strong analytical skills
- Basic IT and logical problem-solving abilities
- Solid grasp of general apps and business systems
- Knowledge of Canadian Tax Regulations.
- Proficient in Accounting Software, specifically in Great Plains.
- Must be legally allowed to work in Canada.
