Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the dental office, including scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks
- Supervise front desk staff, dental assistants, and hygienists to ensure smooth team collaboration and high-quality patient service
- Oversee billing, coding, and insurance claims processing using Open Dental or similar dental practice management software
- Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and ensure proper documentation using electronic medical records systems
- Handle human resources functions such as hiring, training, performance evaluations, and staff development
- Monitor office budgets, control expenses, and implement cost-effective procedures to maximize practice profitability
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing a dental or medical office with strong supervisory skills
- Proficiency in Open Dental or comparable dental practice management software
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs) and medical terminology
- Background in human resources management within healthcare settings
- Experience with budgeting, financial reporting, and resource allocation
- Prior hospital or acute care experience is a plus, especially if related to nursing or medical procedures.
