Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fabricator/Welder to join our manufacturing team. This role involves fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience with various welding techniques, including MIG and TIG welding, to produce high-quality work in a fast-paced environment. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects such as ductwork, structural steel, and custom fabrications, contributing significantly to our manufacturing operations.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine specifications and requirements.
- Perform welding operations using MIG, TIG, and plasma cutting techniques to join or cut metal components accurately.
- Operate machinery such as press brake machines, power tools, hand tools, and machining equipment for fabrication tasks.
- Use calipers and other measuring tools to ensure precise dimensions and tolerances.
- Rigging materials and components safely for lifting or positioning using cranes or forklifts.
- Assemble fabricated parts according to schematics and assembly instructions.
- Conduct quality inspections of finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
- Assist in the setup and calibration of equipment as needed for various fabrication tasks.
Skills
- Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding techniques with demonstrated experience in industrial fabrication.
- Mechanical knowledge related to machinery operation, assembly, and maintenance.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Familiarity with plasma cutting, press brake machines, hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment.
- Experience with rigging, crane operation, forklift handling, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Knowledge of ductwork fabrication, construction processes, schematics interpretation, and assembly procedures.
- Strong understanding of safety standards related to welding, fabrication, rigging, and manufacturing environments.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
