Reporting to the Unit Manager of the Pediatric Cardiology Clinic at the Stollery Children’s Hospital, this position provides a wide range of clerical support for the Pediatric Cardiology Clinic and Program. Responsible for the review and preparation of outpatient records and requisitions for lab tests for clinic visits. Creation of clinic templates, preparing clinic schedules and booking urgent cases. Provides registration and booking services, including telephone triage for the Pediatric Cardiology Clinic and clerical support to the department including physicians, nurses, and other staff. Required Qualifications:
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Requires excellent interpersonal, telephone, organizational, and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include patient registration, outpatient scheduling support, and administrative duties as required. Demonstrates commitment to Patient and Family Centered Care in alignment with AHS values. Must be willing to cross-train within the Stollery Children’s Hospital to support patient care needs. Completion of a Medical Office Assistant program is required. Demonstrated proficiency in Connect Care administrative roles is required, along with 3–5 years of experience in an ambulatory healthcare setting. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and email, is required. Strong time management, prioritization, adaptability, and organizational skills are essential, with the ability to manage multiple interruptions and meet deadlines. Must be able to work independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team while maintaining strict confidentiality. Proven reliability, dependability, and attention to detail are required. Physical requirements include bending, twisting, lifting, pushing, and pulling supplies, as well as extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking. Must meet all organizational employment requirements, including COVID-19 vaccination.
Preferred Qualifications:
Connect Care, Netcare and Microsoft Office experience preferred.
