Overview
We are seeking an experienced Hakka Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in authentic Hakka cuisine, with a passion for food preparation and cooking. This role involves preparing traditional dishes, maintaining high standards of food safety, and delivering exceptional food service to our customers. The successful applicant will bring expertise in meal preparation, food handling, and kitchen operations within a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook authentic Hakka dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, marinating, and assembling ingredients
- Ensure all food is handled safely and maintained at proper temperatures
- Serve dishes efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate needs for ingredient replenishment
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of orders during peak hours
Experience
- Proven experience in serving, food preparation, and cooking within a restaurant or food service setting
- Strong background in food handling and safety protocols in the food industry
- Previous experience working with traditional or regional cuisines, especially Hakka cuisine, is highly desirable
- Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and kitchen equipment operation
- Knowledge of restaurant operations and customer service best practices
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards
