Reporting to the Chef de Cuisine, the GRILL COOK is responsible for safely preparing dishes required for a full-service restaurant. The ideal candidate must have previous kitchen experience and be motivated by a desire to progress in a dynamic, fast-paced, and challenging environment. The GRILL COOK will be responsible for prepping and managing the grill station.
Duties include but are not limited to:

Preparing and cooking raw meats, fish, and poultry to the highest standards

Review and maintain safe handling and storage of varied meats

Responsible for cutting or carving meat, fish, or poultry in addition to assembling, measuring and mixing other ingredients for each dish
Skills & Qualifications:

Previous experience as a grill cook an asset
-
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs

Ability to stand for long periods of time

Strong knife skills and experience in the use of kitchen equipment and utensils

Ability to work weekends, holidays, mornings, and nights

Must be energetic with a passion for food and a positive attitude

Must be able to follow oral and written instructions

Must exhibit a high degree of professionalism (i.e., punctuality, commitment to the job, well-groomed, mannerly, great team work etc.)

Attention to detail

Food handling and health & safety training an asset

Experience and knowledge of seafood preparation is a strong asset
