(Location: Calgary, AB) Aaron Machine Shop is looking for an Entry Level Estimator to join our team.

What type of work does Aaron Machine Shop do? We manufacture and repair metal components, assemblies, and structures. We do not focus on one industry or product. Our shop has a great variety of work from different industries, using different materials, for different component designs. We are a true job shop, which provides diversity to the work you will be doing.
What will your day-to-day look like?
- Coordinate with the estimating team regarding quotes received from managers and customers
- Set up estimates and quotes using our company ERP system
- Read and interpret blueprint drawings
- Coordinate with purchasing to assess project material costs
- Coordinate timelines and general communication between managers and customers
- Organize timely responses for customers and managers
- Develop skills to determine setup and cycle times for manufactured components
Work Environment:
- Friendly, independently owned machine shop with a family atmosphere
- Shop is centrally located in light industrial park (close to Chinook Mall)
- Good variety of work due to diverse customer base
Qualifications:
- High school education
- Additional education and/or experience in an estimator related to machining or manufacturing considered an asset
- Experience with inside sales considered an asset
- Proficient with Microsoft 365, Outlook and possess solid computer literacy
- Experience using software for (i) estimating / quoting, (ii) customer relationship management “CRM”, (iii) enterprise resource planning “ERP”
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Organized
- Solid communication skills - English Fluency Required
