We are located in East Vancouver, and we are looking to add a dynamic, positive, and hard-working event and social media member to our team … you might say, another stranger!
Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and energetic individual to join our team as a Farmers Market Vendor & Bartender. This dual-role position is perfect for someone who enjoys engaging with the public, working in a fast-paced environment, and has a passion for fresh, locally sourced products and craft beverages. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working both outdoors at local farmers markets and behind the bar serving drinks at special events.
About you: You are an extrovert who loves to talk, be around others and isn’t intimidated by crowds or new situations. You have a history of excellent customer service, you work well with others, but you are also fine working independently. You pride yourself on being responsible, and you should be familiar with the craft beer community and Vancouver.
Key Responsibilities:
Farmers Market Vendor Duties:
· Set up and break down the booth at local farmers markets
· Engage with customers and promote our products in a friendly and knowledgeable manner
· Ensure that products are properly displayed and replenished throughout the day
· Handle cash, process credit card transactions, and maintain accurate sales records
· Maintain cleanliness and organization of the booth and product displays
· Assist in inventory management and restocking as needed
Bartender Duties:
· Serve customers in a courteous and professional manner
· Ensure the bar area is clean, stocked, and organized at all times
· Greet customers, take drink orders, and provide excellent customer service
· Manage cash and process credit card transactions accurately
· Work with the team to ensure our customers have an excellent experience
Qualifications:
· Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably retail and hospitality experience
· A valid driver’s license and a willingness to drive a company vehicle
· Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions (for farmers market duties).
· Must be 19 years or older
· SIR required
· Flexible availability, including weekends and evenings (Farmers market hours and special events may vary)
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to lift and move boxes or products up to 30 lbs.
· Ability to stand for long periods of time during market hours and while bartending.
Compensation:
· For Farmers Markets - $22 per hour flat rate
· For bartending shifts minimum wage + shared tips
