Position Overview
The Technical Sales & Support Manager is responsible for driving sales growth by identifying and developing opportunities in wear and corrosion protection solutions. This role also provides technical expertise, support, and training to internal teams, distributors, and customers related to coatings, linings, and application solutions using REMA products.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive revenue growth through direct sales activities and strategic account development
- Support and enhance sales performance by training and collaborating with distributors, OEMs, and sales partners across North America
- Develop, manage, and motivate a network of distributor representatives to achieve sales targets
- Prepare and execute annual sales plans and budgets
- Maintain regular communication with internal teams regarding customer accounts, pricing strategies, product updates, and promotional initiatives
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers to identify needs and generate business opportunities
- Conduct site visits to assess customer requirements and provide tailored solutions
- Deliver technical support, leadership, and project coordination for customer applications
- Recommend appropriate REMA products and solutions for wear and corrosion protection, including conveyor belt splicing and repair
- Participate in trade shows, conferences, training sessions, and company-sponsored events
- Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a technical sales role
- Minimum of 5 years’ hands-on experience in:
- Wear lining applications
- Pulley lagging
- Conveyor belt splicing and repair
- Strong understanding of industrial applications, materials, and protective systems
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to travel to customer sites as required
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
Benefits & Compensation
- Base salary: $95,000 – $120,000 CAD annually
- Variable compensation: performance-based bonus or commission
